Opium in Labour

Everyone should become very familiar with Opium when they are doing a combination of birth work and homeopathy.  Opium is a remedy that is used for treating fear of the fright remains.  It is a chronic state of Aconite because truly no one can fire the adrenaline of Aconite endlessly.  Eventually people shut down and when this happens they go into an Opium state.  Think of Opium in some of the following situations:

Labour

  • snoring between contractions
  • irresistibly sleepy even though they are in labour
  • dusky faced, wanting a dark room, no urge to engage
  • no urge to urinate – their bladders can be hugely distended impeding the labour and they still will not feel the urge to pee.
  • they don’t appear to feel – pain or any sensations

I once witnessed a labour of a woman who stalled at 9 cm.  After several hours the midwives had her transfer to the hospital and when she was making that transition she literally hopped out of bed, threw on her jeans, packed her bag and got ready to go – at 9 cm she acted as if it was just an ordinary day – that is Opium insensibility.

Homepathic Opium

Homeopathic Opium is a remedy for a deep, old fright that has become lodged in your body.  When this fright is triggered it can literally put you into a coma type state.   You become shut down, there is  almost a sensation of paralysis in certain systems of your body and sleep is the escape from the fear.    This kind of fright is usually from old trauma and can remain there dormant until the right trigger appears.  Some common triggers include:

  1. surgery
  2. car accidents
  3. childbirth

Homeopathic Opium will ease the level of the fear and allow your body to discharge it fully so that you may move forward.
